The Tai Yai triangular lantern is a traditional handicraft that embodies the wisdom and cultural heritage of the Tai Yai ethnic group, primarily based in Northern Thailand, especially in Mae Hong Son Province. Each lantern\u2019s color and pattern carry deep meaning: red represents vitality and courage, yellow signifies wisdom and prosperity, green stands for abundance, and purple conveys faith and spirituality. Common motifs include lotus flowers, Nagas (mythical serpents), geometric designs, the sun, and native floral patterns\u2014each linked to religion, nature, and auspicious symbols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Tai Yai triangular lanterns have been adapted to suit contemporary uses while retaining their traditional identity.
